Turns out it was the battery cut off switch located under the hood that was causing the rari to not get a good ground, simple enough to fix. Unfortunately because the ground was insufficient it caused the system to look for a ground elsewhere which melted a small wire, and caused some over heating on the main charge wire to the alternator. If it went on any longer this would have certainly cooked the alternator. So Mike over at Lamborghini Dallas was going to cut back the cooked part of the wire to the alternator, but it was cooked back pretty far. To replace the whole harness would naturally be a grip! He was able to replace just that wire from about four feet back by a junction where it came out of the main harness. The wire is 4 gauge, so it's pretty serious. The diameter is almost as big as a dime. Everything should be good to go today about 12 noon.
Lee and Robert came through with the parts for the Dually. I have to hand it to them, a new induction hood, grill, and bumper. All the parts are black. We were of course thinking of shooting them to match for now and then shooting the whole truck in NY at Fonte's, but I gotta tell ya, the truck looks pretty tuff the way it is. I think we may leave it like this for a minute and see. They are coming back today to replace the radiator support, put the billet insert into the grill, and install the lower bumper fairing that also holds the fog lights.
Zuki killed it as usual, no he didn't break anything this time. He lined up three little hotties for interviews today. Well keep ya posted.
